Abstract:Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) combined with whole blood Creactive protein (CRP) and blood routine test for bacterial infectious pneumonia. Methods A total of 82 suspected bacterial infectious pneumonia patients admitted to Suiping County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the research subjects from January 2022 to October 2025. All patients underwent non-invasive chest MRI examination, CRP immunoturbidimetry test and blood routine test. Using positive bacterial culture as the“ gold standard” for diagnosis, the diagnostic efficacy of single detection and combined detection was compared. Results Among 82 suspected patients with bacterial infectious pneumonia, 68 (82.93%) were diagnosed with bacterial infectious pneumonia according to the“ gold standard” of bacterial culture; The remaining 14 cases (17.07%) had negative test results and were ultimately diagnosed as common upper respiratory tract infections or non-bacterial lung inflammations..Among the 68 positive patients, 52 had positive sputum specimen cultures, 12 had positive bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) cultures, and 4 had positive pleural effusion cultures. Compared with the non infected group, the levels of CRP, neutrophil percentage (NE%) and WBC in the infected group significantly increased (all P<0.05). The sensitivity and specificity of combined detection were superior to single detection methods (all P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of MRI, whole blood CRP and blood routine test can enhance the diagnostic efficiency of bacterial infectious pneumonia, effectively overcoming the limitations of single tests.
