Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of the LEARS model group-based positive feedback psychological care on the self-esteem, stigma, and social function of patients with schizophrenia (SCZ). Methods A total of 82 patients with SCZ admitted to Luoyang Fifth People""s Hospital from June 2023 to June 2025 were enrolled and randomly assigned to either the control group or the observation group, with 41 cases in each group by using a random number table. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received LEARS model group-based positive feedback psychological care intervention in addition to the control group. Both groups received the intervention for 8 weeks, and the stigma, self-esteem, disease progression fear, and social function were compared betweent the two groups. Results After 8 weeks of intervention, the perceived devaluationdiscrimination scale (PDD) in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (all P<0.001); the Rosenberg self-esteem scale (RSES) score was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.001); the fear of progression questionnaire-short form (FoP-Q-SF) score continuously decreased from the second week and was significantly better than that in the control group at the 8th week (P<0.001); the scores of daily living ability, activity and interaction, and social activity skills in scale of social function in psychosis inpatient (SSPI) were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P<0.001). Conclusion The group-based positive feedback nursing of the LEARS model can effectively reduce the stigma and fear of disease in patients with SCZ, improve self-esteem levels, and improve social function. It has high clinical promotion value.
