Abstract:Objective To evaluate the impact of nurse-led systematic parenting education in family-centered wards on parental compliance, nursing satisfaction, knowledge acquisition, and anxiety levels, and to assess the synergistic effects of smart wearable devices and information-based nursing assistant tools. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 104 parents of hospitalized children at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2023 to December 2024. Participants were divided into an intervention group (n=56) and a control group (n=48) based on whether they stayed in family-centered wards and received systematic parenting education. The intervention group received nurse-led multi-stage parenting education in family-centered wards, combined with information-based support from smart wearable devices and mobile nursing platforms. The control group received routine nursing education. Differences in compliance scores, nursing satisfaction, disease knowledge mastery, generalized anxiety disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7) scores, and educational response behaviors were compared between the two groups of parents. Results The scores of parents"" compliance, nursing satisfaction, knowledge test scores, click-through rate of education courses and frequency of active feedback behaviors in the intervention group were all significantly higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05), and the GAD-7 score at discharge was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Implementing nurse-led systematic parenting education in family-centered wards, combined with mart wearable devices and information-based nursing technologies, can significantly improve parental compliance and satisfaction, enhance cognitive levels and emotional states, and promote the transformation of caregiving behaviors.
